"Urgent Update: Help Us Secure a Safe Home for Our Kids in Uganda"
Peace Makers, Build A Better Us, Orphanage
Hello Peace Makers,
Back with another edition of the "Build A Better Us: Peace Makers Newsletter.
First, I just want to thank you all so much for your rapid response to our call to action.
Thank you all that were able to donate! Here’s the link to support our kids:
It truly means the world to us!
I thought it would be helpful to tell the stories of some brave kids this community is serving.
This is our brother Simon.

Simon is 8 years old and is currently battling a condition called impetigo, a common skin disease affecting children in Uganda and across Africa. Impetigo is often spread through contaminated water and by the wind.
Impetigo is treated with prescription mupirocin antibiotic ointment or cream applied directly to the sores two to three times a day for five to ten days. Before applying the medicine, you have to soak the area in warm water or apply a wet cloth compress for a few minutes.
By treating Simon, it not only helps his recovery but also prevents the spread of the disease to other children at the orphanage.
I tell these stories because I want to make it clear that these are real kids with real stories that we are protecting through community.
This is what serving the least of these looks like, and I am grateful to each and every one of you who opens this email, reads it, shares it, donates, etc.
This work doesn't happen by individuals but rather from a community of doers.
Let's get into this week's celebrations, current projects, and campaign goals:

Here’s a photo of our 28 kids
Celebrations:
We are happy to share that school is back in session for our kids. They are learning everything from mathematics to basic reading and writing. Once we secure the roof, maybe we can start building them a new library!
Current Projects:
Our main focus is securing the rooftop so the kids can sleep in peace, have clean bedding, and eliminate the risk of catching malaria.
Here’s the roof we are actively working to fix for the kids:
Campaign Goal:
Our target goal to secure the roof is $7,000.
This will give the kids a brand-new roof, and we can replace any bedding and rooms that were flooded.
If you find it in your heart, please consider donating to: https://t.co/H8cPJy5fmv
Every dollar helps, and it truly means the world to us to protect these kids!
Our mission is to empower the least of these to become the change-makers of society.
Thank you for being a better you so we can be a better us!
